Synopsis
After the success of Sniper Elite v2, Rebellion launched Sniper Elite 3 which is no less exciting than the previous version of Sniper Elite. This game is a shooter adventure genre game where gadget friends will explore enemy territory and kill them.
In the PC game Sniper Elite 3, the story takes place in an African country, where in that country research is being carried out on a formula that functions to resurrect corpses. The purpose of resurrecting these corpses is to rule the world by one of the evil Nazi generals.
Gadget friends are assigned to kill and cancel the mission, with the sniper weapon that Gadget friends have, Gadget friends will find it easier to defeat Gadget friends' enemies. A points system was instituted for actions such as stealth close-combat or sniper assassins, with points accumulated leading to promotion to higher ranks. Players can go around the map to collect special reward items such as collector cards and unlock locked sniper shards. The journal pages also provide further backstory into the events of the game.
The V2's X-Ray kill cam system is also retained. Where previous games only showed the internal structure of the body at visible points, the new game expands to visualize the entire cardiovascular, skeletal, and endurance systems. The player can still target a vehicle, but the player has the opportunity to shoot the engine and disable the vehicle.
In June 1942, during the Battle of Gazala, OSS sharpshooter Karl Fairburne was sent to Tobruk, Libya to provide support for British forces under siege. He assisted in repelling General Erwin Rommel's forces, but the port of Tobruk was ultimately lost. Fairburne heads to the desert garden of Gaberoune in Libya to find out the location of General Franz Vahlen (a protégé of Hitler sent to oversee the campaign in North Africa) and the whereabouts of an unknown British informant who has infiltrated Vahlen's staff. After killing several officers, one traveling on his way to Germany, and searching their bodies for intel, the only clue he finds is a document that reveals the name of Vahlen's project, Project Seuche (literally meaning plague). The group enlists Fairburne's help in destroying several 88 Flak guns at Halfaya Pass. He managed to destroy all the 88mm cannons and the Panzer Mk III tank that suddenly appeared. Fairburne's only hope of finding Vahlen is to rescue a British informant in Fort Rifugio, a cliffside fort previously held by the British during Operation Compass. Fairburne sneaks inside, to free the informant, and provides cover for the informant as he manages to get him to escape even though he is badly injured. Although unable to reveal what Project "Seuche" was, the informant, Brauer, revealed the location of Vahlen's office and several ammunition depots located at a supply post in the Siwa Oasis in Western Egypt.
Fairburne, whose condemnation had at this point earned him the nickname Wüstengeist (Desert Ghost) by the Germans and Italians, sneaked into the city and discovered that several of Vahlen's staff plan officers had betrayed him by giving Hitler the general's personal diary in Berlin. He also found rounds of naval ammunition in one of the warehouses. Fairburne kills the officer serving as a courier and steals the note pad, which details Vahlen's plans to conquer Europe and possibly the United States as the Afrika Corps completes its conquest of North Africa. The note pad also reveals Vahlen's personal HQ, an outpost in an ancient monument somewhere in the Kasserine Pass in Tunisia. He then destroys a Panzer Mk IV that appears, with help from Brauer, killing several hidden enemy snipers.
Fairburne and Brauer infiltrate the base and discover from secret film reels found in a safe that Project Seuche was the codename for the production Supertank codename Ratte, a 1,000 ton tank armed with a gun from a German car as well as various missiles for the tank's guns and a machine gun.
Tragically, Brauer is killed by a Tiger tank but Fairburne destroys it for revenge. He buried Brauer and took a round from Brauer's Lee-Enfield rifle. With the location of Ratte's production facilities still unknown, Fairburne joins the LRDG in attacking the German-controlled Pont du Fahs Airfield to completely sever Vahlen's already thin supply lines. While searching for the facility, Fairburne finds a map with the exact location of the facility, which is located within the Mides Gorge. He manages to infiltrate the complex, disable several power plants, and briefly has a face-to-face meeting with Vahlen himself.
After narrowly escaping through the elevator, Fairburne prepared a bag charge to collapse the pillars surrounding the "Ratte" prototype, knowing that the charge would barely put a dent in the tank itself. To trigger the explosion, Fairburne places explosives in the Ratte's tower and drops a load of Supertank's large shells on it. A mortally wounded Vahlen tries to escape to the hangar and Fairburne kills him by shooting him in the head with Vahlen's own Luger rifle before fleeing to the base. As he leaves, Fairburne states that there are many people who deserve to die and ends by saying: "Time to find more work."
A voiceover by Fairburne during his late life reveals that the intelligence he gained on Ratte and other astonished German weapons was enough to convince the USAAF and RAF to launch a series of bombing raids known as the Battle of the Ruhr to permanently cripple German steel production and bring about its end. hurry to war.
