Synopsis
To what extent can Gadget Friends survive without adequate technology, without human civilization, where food and drink supplies are very limited, and wild life is ready to prey on Gadget Friends at any time? The Long Dark is a first-person survival simulation game that invites Gadget friends to survive in a world that has been destroyed by disaster, set in the very cold North. This game displays the theme "what would happen if humans were not at the top of the pyramid of life". There are many challenges that Gadget Friends must face if they want to survive in the world of The Long Dark game.
The Long Dark is a simulation about how to survive in an extreme and dangerous environment. This game uses an open world game system that dares to be different by displaying a unique minimalist visual style. The Long Dark is also different from other survival themed games, because it tries to display more realistic survival elements by challenging players to face natural dangers, such as extreme cold weather and wild animals.
Gadget friends will not find zombies or other monsters in The Long Dark. Gadget friends must pay attention to your character's body condition during the game, where this game will display a warning if your character needs drink or food. Apart from food supplies,
Gadget friends also have to maintain the character's condition so that they don't get disease or other infections. The Long Dark also takes a realistic approach to collecting food and drink. Your character can immediately eat raw food, but this risks causing him to get sick or even die from poisoning. Raw ingredients must be cooked first so they can be eaten safely. Gadget friends can even take snow and heat it to get a source of drinking water.
Apart from the challenges of finding and gathering the necessities of life, your character also has to face the threat of wild animals, such as packs of hungry wolves, for example. The developer explained that players will be faced with a moral dilemma when they meet other humans. Gadget friends are free to make a choice, whether to help fellow humans survive or not. The Long Dark also does not provide a guide on how to play, and almost all of the game's features must be discovered on your own through playing experience.
For now, The Long Dark is still in the early stages of development. The developer has planned to present a single-player campaign that tells the story of the fate of a pilot named William Mackenzie, who tries to survive after a natural disaster that changed the fate of the world. Apart from that, players are also free to play in sandbox game mode and try to complete the various challenges available.
