Synopsis
Expansive World and Avalance Studio recently announced a new stand-alone game project entitled The Hunter: Primal, which comes as an expansion of the game The Hunter they created. The Hunter is known as one of the most realistic animal hunting simulation games currently available, but this new expansion invites players to hunt giant dinosaurs that appeared in prehistoric times.
Unlike The Hunter which was released as a free-to-play (F2P) game, The Hunter: Primal was not released for free and must be purchased as a stand-alone game. According to the developer's explanation, The Hunter: Primal features higher quality character models, including improved overall graphics, and a wider game world.
In connection with its form as a simulation game, The Hunter: Primal also tries to present a realistic hunting simulation game, including showing the life of an interactive dinosaur. The developer explained that the behavior of dinosaurs in this game was made as authentic as possible in accordance with theories that scientists believe about life in prehistoric times.
Each dinosaur also had a different habitat, even including interactions between different species. Not all dinosaurs can be hunted easily by players, because there are many dangerous dinosaurs that can attack and test all the players' hunting skills. The Hunter: Primal also supports single-player and multiplayer game modes for up to a total of 16 players at once. For a more difficult challenge, gadget friends can even join competitive PvP servers.
At the start of the game, gadget friends only have very limited hunting tools. Gadget friends' task is to explore the game world and look for better weapons, clothes and other equipment. Apart from the dangers of dinosaurs, gadget friends also have to be careful with various types of poisonous wild plants. This makes game exploration more intense and requires patience.
The Hunter: Primal also uses a feature called a persistent inventory system. With this feature, all weapons and equipment that gadget friends obtain in one game session can be used in the next session. But if your gadget character dies in the game world, the entire contents of the equipment can "fall". Fortunately, gadget friends are given the opportunity to retrieve all the scattered inventory, as long as your gadget friend's character can safely reach the last place before dying.
This game is quite unique for a hunting simulation that really prioritizes the element of realism. The presence of dinosaurs can be said to be very "unrealistic" in modern times. However, the developer said that the dinosaur hunting feature is an interesting concept and has been long awaited by fans of this game.
