Synopsis
Keen Software has become a popular game developer studio thanks to their game entitled Space Engineers. Following the success of Space Engineers, Keen Software decided to work on a new project entitled Medieval Engineers. With a game idea and concept that resembles Space Engineers, Medieval Engineers invites players to build castles and take part in unique adventures in charming medieval times.
Inspired by real medieval technology, Medieval Engineers features very realistic physics and castle building mechanisms. This means that before building a castle, gadget friends must build a sturdy foundation from available wooden blocks and rocks. In this game, gadget friends can build cities, towers, castles and various kinds of war equipment from ancient times. Gadget friends can also change the shape of the game world as a whole, from cutting down forests to creating tunnels for underground mining.
CEO Marek Rosa from Keen Software explained that they wanted to create a game where players could interact with the wild environment. For the time being, Medieval Engineers has been released in the Early Access stage, and only features Creative Mode and a prototype version of Survival Mode which still does not have game features. But for gadget friends who are curious, this alpha version of Medieval Engineers has given you the opportunity to play and build a castle with various kinds of resources.
Medieval Engineers features a unique feature, namely the freedom to build your dream castle anywhere. Gadget friends can also use the copy paste feature to create a duplicate of the castle, even placing it floating in the air. Of course, this is temporary, and gradually the foundations of the castle building will fall. But thanks to the charming physics system, seeing buildings collapse or creating war equipment only to destroy the buildings you have created, is one of the main attractions that makes Medieval Engineers unique.
The foundation of the building is the most important thing in building a castle. Foundations that are not sturdy make buildings easily destroyed, or unable to withstand too heavy loads. This can result in a chain effect that makes your castle easily destroyed by the enemy. Apart from building castles, gadget friends can also create various types of defensive fortifications, hidden tunnels, or tools of war such as battering rams, trebuchets, catapults, and so on.
Medieval Engineers currently does not show any other features apart from building castles. This game does not have a mission or campaign with an interesting narrative storyline. But the developer has planned to soon release the latest update, including support for multiplayer play and better Survival Mode.
